WebDAV mount for Mac, without the drama.

KastDrive mounts Synology, Nextcloud, and ownCloud over WebDAV the way Apple intended — online-only files in Finder, enforced TLS, and ETag conflict detection that never silently overwrites your work. No more lost edits to the cloud.

Free tier: 1 WebDAV mount, forever — no credit card required

Why KastDrive for WebDAV on macOS

macOS can mount WebDAV natively, but it's read-only over HTTPS and silently clobbers conflicting edits. KastDrive fixes both — and makes it Finder-native along the way.

Synology, Nextcloud, ownCloud

One-click presets tuned for the big three self-hosted platforms, plus generic WebDAV for any compliant server — SabreDAV, Radicale, Apache mod_dav, and more.

TLS everywhere

HTTPS is the default, never optional. We validate certificates against the system trust store, pin your custom CAs, and refuse to fall back to plaintext HTTP.

ETag conflict detection

Every upload is guarded by If-Match ETag checks. If a file changed on the server since you last saw it, KastDrive saves your edit as a readable .sync-conflict instead of clobbering.

Finder, natively

WebDAV mounts land in Finder through Apple's File Provider Extension API — cloud badges, on-demand streaming, and bidirectional sync, exactly like iCloud Drive.

How it works

Three steps from server URL to a Finder sidebar you can edit from with confidence.

01

Pick your server

Choose a Synology, Nextcloud, or ownCloud preset, or paste any https:// WebDAV URL. KastDrive stores credentials in the macOS keychain.

02

Mount into Finder

Your WebDAV server appears under Locations in Finder. Browse thousands of remote files as cloud-badge placeholders — nothing downloads upfront.

03

Edit with confidence

Open a file to stream it on demand. On save, KastDrive checks the ETag first; if the server copy moved, you get a .sync-conflict instead of lost work.

KastDrive vs Mountain Duck for WebDAV
